Each and every town and city in America is willing to back energy related construction as long as it is not in their town or city. Berlin can join the tens of thousands of cities who are holding up progress. Henniker will probably oppose Laidlaw tonight. It's the reason why energy is so expensive. How does this mindset change? Under current conditions I doubt it will. Maybe $8 gasoline and $9 dollar heating oil will change attitudes.

A very desirable boiler is in place and conversion is economically practical. So yes, “desirable” is the key word.

How did you get " All they want is the right to decide where these plants are placed. Why is that so unreasonable to you? You also accuse Berlin nh Resident of spreading rumors."

from this?

"Crooner... If Laidlaw found a desirable location in my town, I'd be holding the welcome banner while leading them down Main St. Our local economy certainly could use a boost."

Well they certainly desired the papermill plant and the stack....that they allowed some years ago.

The towns people all desired to live in the town with the stack when they bought their houses.

Grow up Berlin.....drop the NIMBY crap. This country need alternative energy and you are turning your noses up at an existing structure that you had previously accepted.
