Holter, Lumik,
Agree with both of you as I too am one of the "Old Timers" (damn, I hate that term, just something about it). Just have to get my two cents in (how many shares does that buy??). Those of us who are long in the tooth on this stock bought into it based on assumptions that the arenas SEIH were playing in were solid bets. Being in the Healthcare field I myself thought the HIPAA plan was a solid bet, only to find that the deal was made under false pretenses by the other party. Going forward, however, I felt confident that SEIH (now SIVC) would make a comeback based upon their position in two solid markets in the biggest land of opportunity over the last several years - China. I lived there for almost three years and still go back 4-5 times a year, and every time I am there I'm still amazed by the ongoing potential there.
China remains a low cost manufacturing opportunity. However, the biggest play there is the sheer market opportunity that exists as the middle class over there comes into its own. There is a significant number of people there that now own cars and apartments, and can afford things that they simply couldn't before...such as healthcare. The market for healthcare alone continues to boom, and based upon the population stats and related market opps. in that filed, I still believe that we are well positioned to take advantage of that growth through Sino.
In terms of Redwood, again I believe that Chinese companies understand the real benefit in growth within the international markets. There are many firms that want to play, yet not all of them are capable of doing so for various reasons. I have been through numerous manufacturing concerns there, and there are those that are not positioned to qualify for an R/M. Those that can qualify need our help, and I see this as a significant opportunity that can have a solid backlog for years to come.
Rain, you are to be commended for the work you're doing here, and for that I thank you. Some of your "older" brethren in terms of ownership border on disillusionment as we've been through the highs and lows before, and of course no one wants to see their investment drop, especially since quite a few of us have taken a bath here before. I think that the cesspool has been drained and refilled at this point, but the real value isn't clear to all yet as the fountains aren't working. We're getting there, but not fast enough for all of the flippers out there. The MM's continue to abuse us, because they can at this point, and until the path is clear here, we'll continue to be subject to the swings we're seeing. I do think that Lumik, Scoobey, Sloth, Holter, Myth and others are hanging in there with us as the value is there, it's just taking so damn long for the fruit to ripen. Keep up the good work, and keep the faith, bro'!
