sailfreeee -- re 1., actually he did pretty much -- the biggest complaints of the UN inspectors before WE pretty much forced them to leave before we went in, was that our intel didn't tell the UN inspectors about certain sites our intel considered important, and also that time after time after time the sites our intel did tell the UN inspectors about had nothing, nada, including no residues or other trace signs that would have remained even if Saddam's folks were keeping stuff on the move from place to place -- and re 2., Iraq, and indeed that whole part of the world, has been literally awash in AK-47s and rpgs and the like for decades -- that's nothing new, and not at all surprising -- I'm sure stuff is coming in over the borders -- but much much more was already there, and from things I've read our people haven't even gotten to many if not most of the weapons and ammo caches that were there before we went in -- plus Saddam did indeed hand out all he had to his militias and whatever before we went in; I mean it's not like he couldn't see us coming -- so my understanding is that the situation there is, and always was, a real mess in that respect -- maybe one real question is did we plan adequately knowing that that would be the situation . . .
