Five day shows someone knew about NEOL's SEC Investigation
Neopharma dropped to 'market perform' by JMP (NEOL) By Michael Baron (8% more down after 25% since last Monday) NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Neopharma (NEOL) shares dropped more than 8 percent to $14.09 in afternoon action. The company was downgraded by JMP Securities to "market perform" from "market outperform." The firm cited Neopharma's disclosure in its Form 10-Q that a probe of the company by the Securities and Exchange Commission has been declared a formal investigation. JMP said it doesn't believe the formalization of the probe is due to new information or concerns on the SEC's part but it was disturbed that the news wasn't disclosed in a quarterly conference call on Monday. "We believe the handling of the communication of this issue was misguided and then we believe that investors have previously been concerned about communication by this management team," JMP said
