The government could endorse his plan and subsidize it if the windmills are produced in America thus ensuring added employment in this country. Take the sick auto industry and retrofit it to make windmills and solar panels. I'm not even sure if this is feasible, but alternatives have to be discussed pronto.

This reliance on corn-based ethanol is about the dumbest thing that I ever heard. It only indicates that we will try to keep the people on the roads even if we have to starve them in doing so.

I particularly like the natural gas for cars idea.

Peak Oil definitely puts Pickens' plan into the realm of a "national emergency and take immediate action."
