#9264 RE: Briboy #9261

briboy, amen!

Here is a quick section. Jesus said

"26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one."

Christ Himself testifies of the eternal security that one who comes to a saving knowledge of Christ has In CHRIST.

To say otherwise implies that Jesus will save them and then he either does not have power to keep what He has redeemed and regenerated, or that HE simply treated them like a Mrs. Paul's Fish commercial, you know, throw it back we don't want you.

This kind of heresy means that MAN has something to do with his salvation and regeneration. He can unregenerate himself. Man can now do what only the cross of Christ and the power of the blood could do.

Christ says HE WILL KEEP THEM and NOBODY is able to change that! Nothing man can do can alter or change the postion of that one who is now secure in God's own hand! Not sin, not anyone else, nothing!

He is ABLE to KEEP that which we have committed unto HIm against that day! Praise God for HIS EVERLATING POMISES that HE KEEPS.

Regarding forgiveness of sins and not losing one's salvation over it we have the entire chapter of I John chapter 1 to look out.

Here is an excerpt: I John 1: 6 - 10
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Verse 6 illustrates the point that the true believer is not going to wantonly go around committing sin as has been suggested. The "TEST" or "eveidence" of that saving faith is clearly shown here in verse 6.

The rest of the verses illustrate the fact that just because one has believed unto salvation does not mean that they are never going to sin again. THey will and CHRIST will forgive us and cleanse us according verses 8 and 9.

There are literally scores of scriptures we can turn to and examine whether someone that is truly saved, elect, can lose their salvation or not. THe overwhelming evidence is NOT. And that age old heresy about giving license to sin tickles the ears, but is contrary to this entire chapter of scriptures, so in order to hold onto our heresy, we must throuw out or cut out this chapter from the Bible.

briboy, when I have some real time I will post in detail of the salvation of the believer and also details of the Translators of the Bible, to whom we owe much, except BB2.

He didn;t need them and they weren;t qualified enough and made too many mistakes.

For HIS WORD, nothing added and nothing subtracted,

P.S. Remind me and I willpost a litany of messages on prayer and the believer for BB2's benefit.
