It may surprise you to know that into the 50's, doctors routinely killed babies born deformed, too early or with full life limiting abnormalities.
When I was young, there were few "abnormal" people wandering the streets.
The Catholic Church has always done anything, no matter how counter productive to good sense and rational action, to increase their membership. Their hospitals had special nurses that stood by during a birth there specifically to physically prevent a doctor from dispatching babies.
Hitler's methods were a part of life here in America.
If someone cannot live without life support, they should be allowed to die...period. Children born with deformities that will cost society should be terminated at birth. Preemies that can't live un-assisted should be allowed to die. These preemies by the way, that our oh so clever medical people keep alive, are a huge drain on medical costs all their weak, inadequate, less than realized lives.
People don't want to accept what the universe deals.
The universe is an entirely natural structure with an exceptionally vicious attitude towards life...learn to live with it and within it.
