That's an interesting analogy, but I don't view Zeev or anyone else as any type of a journalist. He is simply sharing a wealth of knowledge, like many other posters on this board do. I think the burden of responsibility (in the manner you are proposing) is unfairly heaped on these people if they are to be held accountable in this way.
I don't actually post positions myself because (ignoring the fact that nobody would really care) I refuse to be held accountable by someone who should have done more due diligence. Because Zeev posts his trades, it doesn't raise him to a higher standard of accountability for them.
I understand you are talking about a more outlandish (for Zeev) statement about a coming rally, but Zeev is human. We all are. We are all prone to commentary which can and will be taken the wrong way at times, or will seem out of character or could possibly lead someone astray if they are not careful. I have learned a great deal from these message boards over the years, but not one trade I did was the responsibility of another person.
I'm not a Zeev apologist, but what are you gonna do. It is a message board.
