700 new lows on the NYSE is an area last seen at the July/Oct '02 lows. We may be working on setting a significant low here, and the turnips may yet be proven right. BWDIK...

GNT's were a dime a dozen today. <gg>

Zeev,

Since we are just under the NAZ 200dma and still above the March low, do you think we have a pretty good chance of bottoming right about here. That would gives us something looking like a short-term double bottom, if that is the proper term for that look. The S&P and the Dow are still above their 200dma. I was just wondering if you thought this area is where the market is going to bounce, or at least hold, if not immediately going to bounce.

Why not break 10k Dow, and REALLY elicit some fear (better bottom, no?)

You are a good trader and that protects you when you are on the wrong side of the market. But that should not minimize that your currently off the road and on the shoulder with your roadmap. I call this the bad call, good news syndrome and it is exactly the kind of thing that brings out the ankle-biters. If you really do not want to fire them up, I suggest that you avoid such pronouncements. Less seasoned traders who are fully loaded with you may have taken quite a hit. For you to brush it all aside could easily put them in quite a funk. I do not count myself among the followers the last few weeks, so I am unscarred, but I cannot help but respond. This is the second time I have seen a post like this from you over the last week. I ask you to think about how your posts may affect your loyal readers.

Thanks
