4mars, interesting thought. It didn't occur to me that this would've had anything common with the Proteus other than both having monitor/control systems. The Proteus used an Allen Bradley MRU (motion reference unit). This looks like it uses GPS for position sensing and Dynamic positioning. But wouldn't be surprised if there were software/hardware portions from the Proteus that were of use here. What's neat is the exposure to the retail market (albeit the higher end) that this gives us. If we can get a portion of all the new money in China and Russia who must be buying yachts by the boat loads, as customers, wouldn't that be something;)

"Around View": Adding to ElectroWave’s already extensive line of CCTV equipment and service, we are proud to announce an “around view” CCTV package for use in the private yachting market. Currently in the final stages of development, the camera system will allow a top-down view of a yacht to aid in docking and perimeter monitoring. The “around view” solution can be purchased alone or along with our Sta~Sys product, providing a full vessel electronics, positioning, and monitoring system.

Also it's nice to know we "eat our own dog food"

"At our facility in Channelview, we implemented an IP based Toshiba camera system coupled with a TrueSentry DVR for site security, acceptance test recording, and investor relations. This camera system currently has over 14 installed camera’s along with a public web interface for remote monitoring. This type of solution can easily be implemented in off-shore and the private market allowing an owner or company complete remote monitoring solutions. You can check out our facility solution here, username is DDI and the password is ddi6only."
