WLD, all us old QCOM folks already know China is going to try to screw and is screwing Qcom... They are already allied closely with STM, who is non licensed, and holding on to the thought that the TD-SCDMA "standard" co developed with STM would not owe Qcom royalties. Its just old news. This has gone on for 5 years.
STM will eventually have to get in line, imo. This Txn lawsuit is part of the overall process of not disclosing agreements, and also to be sure that a recent jv between Txn/Nok and STM, does not allow flow through of ip from qcom to txn to stm without royalties being paid.
Qcom is simply doing everything they can to makes things as good as they can be. Qcom will never get a great deal with the Chinese, but they will get a deal of some kind that will be very valuable. Just mo
