"MADE IN THE USA " (from ODIM's internal magazine)
(Look on Page 10) Odim is a big player on seismic/deepwater equipment

"The streamer winches, spoolers, and the
ancillary equipment were all manufactured
in the USA by ODIM’s co-operating partners
in Houston and Galveston in Texas. Some
of the equipment is made by G&M Welding,
a company ODIM has worked with for 15
years, while other parts are made by a new
co-operating partner, Deep Down.

On arrival at Flesland Airport in Bergen, the
equipment was transported by sea to the
shipyard, Båtbygg, at Måløy, where two installation
specialists from ODIM are currently
installing the equipment on board the “Viking
Poseidon”.
We knew this from filings last year.

From the April 24/07 Deep Down Inc. PR: "support of the first synthetic rope heave-compensated winch in the Gulf of Mexico for ODIM, AS"

Page 1: http://www.subsea7recruitment.co.uk/Deep7Issue7.pdf

The Independence Hub project in the Gulf of Mexico for Anadarko and Dominion has seen Subsea 7 achieve the world’s deepest installation of an umbilical and the deepest installation of a ‘Q’ Tree using the fibre rope deployment system developed by Subsea 7 and ODIM. Both firsts were achieved in water depths of 2,750 meters. The work was carried out by Subsea 7’s construction vessel the Toisa Perseus. See page 3 for further detail of the fibre rope deployment system technology development programme.
