yeah, one of the VP pickers kind of had his hand in the cookie jar with multiple millions in sweetheart loans cuzz he was all chummy with an executive in a loan outfit like Fannie Mae or Countrywide or something. I'm sure rbl has the link somewhere.

The problem is, the republicans have a better vetting process than the dems, such that they turn up more dirt than a cat with diarrhea even after the dems have checked out their person.

Well I tend to go by what his life has been so far and I don't see much of a screw up. Certainly not as much as McCain has been.

As for Jim Jones who resigned - he was vetting his VP which he has done twice before for candidates. He had received a below interest loan from Countrywide - it was not illegal but he didn't need it as he is very wealthy. He did the right thing so as not to cause controversy. Do you have any problems with what Mccain has surrounded himself with?
