Equity P/C ratio, trin and tic, new highs/new lows, and RSI are the five major short term sentiment indicators I use (many others but these have most weight). Then for longer term sentiment status you use BP structure (not so much the level, but the direction and inflection points), various breadth measurements, price action and few more and Bull/Bear statistics..
