As I have stated before, for most young biotech companies, the type of positive developments being reported by Halozyme, would move the stock price significantly. Unfortunately, HALO has been attacked by shorts who won't go away and they are making it not so much fun for the long term investors. However, when things do pop, the shorts will then make it fun for the long term investors!
That being said, it is still, for me at least, beyond comprehension how they can continue to short this stock in light of what is actually happening with this company. Cheetah could be a blockbuster drug, as that term is defined in the industry. Do the shorts really think there is enough stock left to short that is going to scare the short-termers into panic selling and drive the price down so they can cover at much lower prices and make some money? The odds of this happening are not in their favor, to say the least.
