Bart A. Ehrman, is a professor of religious studies at the University of North Carolina. Author of more than 20 books, Professor Ehrman is an expert on early Christianity and the life of Jesus.
Reared as an Episcopalian, an altar boy at 12, "born again" in high school, he then attended the fundamentalist Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He completed his undergraduate work at Wheaton College, and earned a master of divinity and a Ph.D. in New Testament studies at Princeton Theological Seminary.
