Part of what happened this week might be the rise in interest rates and the situation in Iraq. The Street wants/likes Republicans running the country and hopes that Mr. Bush will be re-elected. I think he will be, for many reasons. But the Street tends to take things as they are now. And now doubt has crept in. I suspect this will change, though I don't know when.
