Nice find SageWise! We always love to see some Deep Down press.
"There was
an urgent need to get the winches to Måløy,
and it was thus decided to airfreight the
consignment from Houston to Bergen."

"The urgency of the situation on this occasion
resulted in our principal opting to charter
the world’s largest cargo aircraft, an IL-76
from the Belarussian company Volga-Dnepr
Group”, explains ODIM’s Manager in Houston,
Terje Stokkevåg."

"With fewer big discoveries and more petroleum exploration in deep water, the deepwater installation segment is expected to expand substantially.

Few large installations vessels are available, but contractors can use the ODIM CTCU™ as a core technology to be able to tender for projects in ultradeep waters, using smaller installation and multifunctional vessels. Complete topside solutions combined with the ODIM CTCU™ technology can contribute to an expansion in the total installation and construction fleet. "

I like it that ODIM describes DPDW as a "co-operatng partner", not just a supplier. That, and the fact that they NAME Deep Down in the release, are additional straws in the wind that confirming that DPDW is not a replaceable commodity supplier, DPDW makes high-end specialty stuff.
