We have actually generated some minor extreme bearish reading today which could indicate at least a mild bounce, the nature of that bounce will probably be very important in the next few days to determine what is next. For now, I don't have enough deterioration to justify taking a bearish stance and if 1940 on the Naz is held on the next onslaught, we might still be OK for the spring run, maybe a little delay. I raised cash from "breaking situations" (SNDK and SSTI), and two winners in AH (CDWC and IRF) so that cash it now close to 15%, still quite a bullish stance. I might even deploy some in the morning....

you may want to see how much comp has dropped before going into CSCO earning in 2002, also how much it gave back after that huge 123 pt one day up on CSCO earning.

i seriously doubt we would have such repeat scenario this go round.

if JNPR cannot light a fire on its own earning (remember how it shot up in January ? and the ceo even said csco should do just as well ? but it turned out csco earning was just so so)
i dont see how csco can light a fire to its stock let alone to the whole market.

fdry warned tonight. stock went down 28%.

edit : i mean comp, not csco (to bounce back to max pain). btw, if csco falls too far behind, wouldn't delta hedging kick in ?
