#66642 RE: SageWise #66641

i really like this company and could see it being a very nice candidate for the A list

Cathodic Protection for Large Structures
Deepwater provides corrosion prevention for new structures and anode replacement (retrofit) for aging brown field assets. Having rewritten the "CP retrofit textbook" with our ground-breaking cathodic protection systems, Deepwater can retrofit a structure's CP system more quickly and more efficiently, reducing the cost to the operator by up to 40% over traditional sacrificial systems. Anode replacement can be handled with efficiency on any type of platform. At times like these, when the price of oil is soaring, asset integrity becomes a major concern. Our anti-corrosion specialists have provided, supplemented, or replaced the cathodic protection on every type of brown or green-field asset in operation.

Structures with power
RetroBuoy™ impressed current cathodic protection system - cuts retrofit costs by delivering more cathodic protection, more efficiently. In fact, one typical RetroBuoy sled can deliver up to 400 Amps of corrosion protection – enough to protect 80,000 square feet of steel. The conventional alternative protection would need 32 tons (US) of sacrificial aluminium. The RetroBuoy is versatle; it has been applied to platforms, FPSO's (read more), and dock / jetty structures .. .. read more

Looks like anode installation is a serious cash generator.
Good luck!

we have had these talks before when they first started making the anodes and here we come back to it again-hmmmmmmmmmmm!

this seems to be profitable-one look at sage's last post proves the market is there for cathodic protection-

another possibility is sacrificial anode sleds for an fpso as well, i've been reading quite a bit on their uses and the possibilities are very promising. also to my understanding they seem to be a very profitable endeavor, as usual i expect management at deep down will do us proud as its my opinion this is no small project!

my level of excitement grows daily with this company as the surprises never seem to end, i'm very excited to see what comes of this and what major contracts start popping up as our name gains more and more credibility with each successful project!

GO DPDW GO!
