I am quite sure they are different spars though, the Sat view show 3 flat levels the the base. The one being shipped has 2 flat levels and a base #msg-29592441

The bright yellow mooring points on one are at the very bottom of the upper hull section, on the other they are about 1/3 the way up from the bottom of the upper hull.

Both are covered in anodes like a dog that messed with a porcupine.

Current developments

The Perdido spar was constructed by Technip in Pori, Finland and began its 13,200-kilometre journey from Finland to Texas in May 2008. The topsides that sit on the hull are being constructed in Ingleside, Texas by Kiewit. Meanwhile, the Noble Clyde Boudreaux is currently on location drilling the development wells.

World-Class Fabrication Facility

Our world-class fabrication facility consists of state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure. With unrestricted access to the Gulf of Mexico, the facility was designed specifically for deepwater projects. Our 400-acre fabrication yard is located in Ingleside, Texas, along the La Quinta shipping channel in Corpus Christi Bay. The facility boasts 2,100 ft. of continuous pile-founded bulkhead space, with a 45-ft. water depth and a 77-ft. void for offloading unusually large floating structures.

With 13,000 tons of lifting capacity, the Heavy Lifting Device (HLD) is the centerpiece of the Kiewit Offshore Services equipment fleet. Capable of installing unusually large modules on hulls in fewer sections, the HLD minimizes offshore commissioning efforts and reduces overall project costs. Kiewit Offshore also houses a fleet of heavy-lift cranes and equipment capable of transporting nearly any onshore structure.
