Gold is saying people have to get real about the possibility of higher interest rates in the future.

Of course, once the adjustment has been made, higher interest rates, and the economic consequences they can accompany, are bullish for Gold aren't they.

The fundamentals are good for gold going forward. That's not to say, however, that NEM can't hit 30 first.

PH,

Check out this series of posts, starting with Bullwinkle's nice charts of the gold situation:

Looks bearish, but again, not sure I'd be short.

Was there some kind of news to precipitate the POG/HUI selloff? I see the $US is not higher now than it was a couple of days ago...
===============================================================

Hi Public Heel,
Other than the continued stream of negatively biased PM commentaries, the stronger dollar as compared to it's early morning weakness and the plethora of gold and gold shares breaking under their 200 day moving averages , I can't think of a thing....... except, of course, that the weakness in the general markets is prolly exacerbating the magnitude of the break of the gold shares. <ggg>

Color me goofy, but I think most of these PM prices represent an excellent buying area for the non daytrading PM buffs.
