Gee, why don't they go after IBM which collects year in year out a billion bucks in royalties on their IP. Presumably, the value of the IP is much more than $3 B, otherwise, the memory makers would not go around that technology. By the way, that figure is exaggerated, and is surely a five year cumulative of royalties that might be owed. On a year by year basis, the total DRAM market is probably less than $20 B annually, and even if the bu$$ charged 2.5% royalties on all SDRAM, DDR and RDRAM that would come to just $500 MM, half what IBM collects yearly in royalties....

I am starting to worry about SNDK stream of royalties income if the FTC decides that anything above, let say, $100 MM in royalties is "too much" for the consumer, SNDK may collect $200 MM in royalties this year.....
