#140 RE: Old Frank P #138

Frank, Hopefully you read my reply-post to marcos that included
as subject matter the Si GPM thread. If so then my message to
all is that while i can talk serious without any compassion or regard
to the impact any reader obtaines, that i feel using my opinion of
what i prefer directed towards me, "what you really think of me"
i will do to others what i hope they do to me. marcos is a good
example as he will at times add/correct/modify my input expressed
in a few of my postings, but very upfront without any confusion keep
it very clear to me that he considers me a not nice person, on my
so called few nice days, and a regular bad guy on my regular days,
and at times, which seems to be everyday sometimes, a person
that not only has no regard towards others, but one that goes out
of his way to make as mulch trouble as possible :o)

When i joined Si many years ago, one of the very first posts i read
was from Si's Richard of The Mazz that stated everyone posts from
a center that exists as their each and very own important agenda.

Or another way to spell agenda is to use the words that each person
views their survival and well being as that which influences either
by asking in moderation, or manipulation if that don't work, that
which will extend or deny to others certain ways and means of
their activity so that any influence towards their life style
of who they are and what they want gets accomplished aka agenda.

You comment in the post this is a reply to has the following.

"The thread [Si GPM] would of died without the likes of..."

Which is your view that the purpose stated in the thread's creation
should be ignored to the point of posting against stated on topic
guidelines since in your opinion it will created a more healthy
thread existence.

Golly, its o.k. to express your opinion, but what if someone arrived
at your moderated thread of the following.

SI: StockTalk: Market Trends and Strategies : Strictly: Drilling II
(moderated subject what is this?)
Started By: Frank Pembleton
... thread topic can include:
1) Fundamental Analysis
2) Technical Analysis
3) News Analysis
4) Broad Market Analysis
... and by all means, CHAT!
[end.]

And decided that its health would be better served if so-and-so was done?

For sure it being moderated by you will prevent this,
and just as an example,
last year i tried to place a post on your thread for the very first time,
and oops i was denied posting priviledge there by you even before
i place a single post.

Sure is easy to do what "you" want on a thread or board that has
no moderator or rule enforcemints (or) when you have the power
as in being the moderator of a thread, to have it NOT do what another
wishes and tries to have done that goes against your views :o)

Again, your comment in the post this is a reply to has the following.

"The thread [Si GPM] would of died without the likes of..."

Guess its a contest between quanity and quality.
(or)
In my opinion the Si GPM thread is now a CHAT place that pevents
its purpose from being realized. And ya and sure, once[if] the
gold price goes above $300 forever and a day, then yes it will
become alive with on topic posts of the thread's purpose and
in effect "correct" itself in my opinion.

As i stated in my last Si posts on the GPM thread in regards that
my moderated GPM thread did not take away from the GPM thread,
i knew it would not but felt a real-time reality example was needed
to prove a point i made to another person. And its not here or there,
but my thread will later be used by me and a few other Si "friends'
i'm associated with from long years ago desert dirts on Si, and yes
it will become a CHAT thread for us and not following any on topic
agenda stated in the creation header :o) which is o.k. just so long
that i understand that it was a Trojan Horse of sorts.

Yes, often only weekly, and sometimes i missed weeks, forgot -g- ... seriously, sometimes i was out of the country or upcoast out of touch for months at a stretch ... did a lot of trading using GTC orders, and still do, just pick the points that seem reasonable for buy/sell, put in the order, and see what happens ... but also years ago i had a broker who was a good friend, he had trading authority on the account and could handle the speckie stuff pretty well, did lots of churning at three to five per cent commission each way though -g-

Through a lot of years mostly i held boring canadian chartered banks, had my own picking method, i'd look in saturday's globe and mail for the one with the best p/e, buy that ... not foolproof by any means, often that meant upcoming problems, but in this country they had a license to print money and always came out ok ... i had some luck along the way with that, two examples were two times i had proceeds of land sales ready to put into stocks, one was the day before the Olympia and York crash took cm.to from 36 to 26 in one day, the other was 04 or 05 Dec '96, day before Greenspan gave his 'irrational exhuberance' speech, all the banks sold off ten per cent, i got filled about nine per cent below where i expected ... pure luck, had better than a double on them and was all out by spring '98 i think, plus dividends etc

Slider is right, it's all about valuations, no more speculation on vague concepts ... well with a loonie invested in bay.to you get roughly two ounces of economic silver, that can't be irrational can it? .... cheers
