Will's got the idea - let's make this thread about mining, sort of the entrance lobby to whatever else develops here on mining ... other things like the copyright question can take place elsewhere [btw i expect long-gone will get bored doing that, and few will notice, so no big deal imho] ..... and please let's not regard it as a 'talk to marcos' thread, i couldn't handle the responsibility and soon won't have the time, just see my role here as that of preventing the deletion of posts and being a normal threader
Let's do have a little respect for Matt's vision here and keep it reasonably civil, without coercion or censorship, just because hey we're big grown up resource folk are we not
On Gata - to a point i applaud their goals, at the same time think some of Murphy's rhetoric is hilarious, the enveloping horn of Shaka Zulu et al, lol ... lots of grandstanding, self-aggrandisement ... while gold could use more attention than it gets imho, and in that respect they are performing useful service, some of their approach makes goldbugs look like drooling idiots .... at the same time some of the people who write over there do so well, bring up good points, make the case in an interesting way ..... some of them though are real whacko doomsters, others want guvmint-issued money to be backed by gold, and i don't think that's the answer, better maybe to keep the only real money free and independent of situations where it gets diddled with by politicians
