And no - you didn't do everything up front and in plain view, and you didn't "offer" to step forward... you only stepped forward after it was discovered... and you launched into attack mode immediately.

Legal... in your disclaimer is this line which I think is what any normal person could add 2+2 = conflict of interest on a stock board that you moderate ...

There is no way to get rid of the seed of doubt when you are being compensated and then mod a board where you can control information content at any time.
Sorry, it's just way too obvious what people have a problem with concerning compensation.
