I've seen this question raised here before. Moderators are ultimately judged on how well they moderate. End of story.

Why? Actually maybe if you own stock you shouldnt be a mod, no better yet if you own stock you should not post.....would have to take down a lot of MODS, seems silly they disclosed.

What is the difference, moderation is a position in which the same rules apply to all. If someone is abusing their position then proper action need be taken regardless of why they stand as a mod/asst mod. My moderation judgement is consistant under any/all circumstances. BTW, I see a few posts that claimed I was using my moderation pos to delete posts, and to set the record straight, roughly 90% of the posts removed on a board today were done so by the IHUB mods. They did a fantastic job today.

Apparently, this is a new issue for them, and if the answer is yes then I think they should reconsider.

Nothing new - it's a (non-)issue older than iHub.

Sorry gecko... but I'd prefer to get a clear yes or no answer from Admin... something a bit more specific than "we don't vet them on that basis"

I can't imagine how much more clear I could be.

I think rebelgirl - or anyone receiving compensation - should not be allowed to moderate.

Ah, we've struck oil. It's not the answer you want to hear.
