You often come out with these bizarre statements - what do you base your statement on? I HARDLY think Silverthorne family is going to standstill... many interesting things to come. What is bobcat again???
Because :
1.They have ATI which is very familiar with DSPs and other stuff found mainly in multimedia devices.
2.AMD knows how to make low power devices , even the K8 core when clocked low has incredible power characteristics ( over 2.5GHz it's a furnace , that's another story )
3.Integration : AMD had the upper hand in the past 5 years.
4.Vastly superior graphics and lower power .
Intel thinks , but not deep enough : what was in their mind when they coupled a chipset which burns 2-3x the average power of the CPU ?
And you have the new ARM core coming in 09 , OoO , similar clocks , more stuff on die and half the power of Atom.
