Matt’s use of the word other is what I don’t get. Matt implies that there was some problem other than tricky manufacturing; what could that be? Or was Matt’s writing just sloppy?

The ESPR drugs were notoriously difficult to manufacture.

From today’s PR (#msg-44785558):

Since that time [of the ESPR acquisition], Pfizer has moved development forward with improvements to the original manufacturing process.
