benz, if the last 7 years is an example of economic freedom and economc freedom is political freedom (per freideman), then why do i feel like just about everything i do and for the most part, everything everybody does in this country, is either tracked by computer and recorded on tape or video camera..and thats already been proven to be happeneing... the guys at att blew the whistle on that and thats why the administration wants immunity for the telecoms.. and thats for just what we know about... what about all the other police state surveillance programs that we dont know about yet?.. id say we are living in more of a totalitarian state than one of political freedom.... and its all so none of us ever has the ability to organize any effort that might stop the corps and their lobbyist from total control of our lives...

theres something not very free'ing about that.. theres something about anonymous behaviour thats been lost in the last 7-8 years and possibly even longer than that...is this progress in a democracy?

benz, you say.......

Milton Friedman has argued that the economic freedom of competitive capitalism is a requisite of political freedom.

Milton Friedman is off his rocker, and if you believe this, then someone, not mentioning any names here, is also off his rocker.

Did you ever hear the phrase by John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton?

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
