brikk- Butler was CFO of Ponder years before it went BK (he was active CFO in 1996 when BK didn't happen until 3 years later in 1999). This is just superficial digging but I personally am finding more warts the more I dig- notice the similar biz strategy of Ponder (lots of acquisitions) to DPDW, ouch IMO:

LOL you need to dig deeper on this guy if I have the right guy (read the name of the company, Ponders Industries, Eugene Butler was working for as CFO in the linked article, notice the similarity on going and growing on acquisition sprees, then look what happened to Ponder Industries- POOF a BK... I'd make sure this is the same Eugene Butler but on the surface it looks like it may be):
The article was published in 1996. The company didn't go BK until 1999 I think so they hung on for awhile. But the end was a bust. So I wouldn't tout credentials IMO only of a CFO that saw a decent-sized company go into BK (especially with the big acquisition strategy that company had- IMO it shadows management's ideas for DPDW).
