Chromebuster. Competition? Why? In different parts of the US they are also laying fiber to the home. Mostly in gated communities.

Cost effective? Time will tell.

But when you look at the percentage of homes with fiber hooked up compared to copper you begin to understand the market out there for copper.

There are also some good wireless companies out their with rotating antennas.

But in the end COPPER is king.

And the market demand and share of copper market we need to capture for success is very much obtainable.

chromebuster, have you ever been to Fukuoka City and Kyushu? Small pockets of high density communities primarily located on the coast of the island. Fukuoka has a large population because it is on a plain between the mountains and the sea. Does that sound like a typical setting for the US or for that matter, the world's population? Also, I'd like to see the business plan for that company because the cost of doing business in Japan is extremely high and charging roughly $50 per month appears unrealistic from my experience (3 yrs living in Hiroshima). Maybe they will make their money back by offering services that are only possible with high-speed connections (bundled services including downloadable movies, music).
