Yeah, I suppose a discount helps, it's just that for the past 5 years, AMD has represented a better investment, and IMO, that's likely to continue in an even stronger fashion for the next year or two, minimum. Intel is dead money, like Microsoft. Not much growth potential left, and the P/E and P/S metrics are astronomical.
