Hey Roy ... Vista is actually very nice!
I bought a new laptop a month ago and was "forced" to get Vista.
It is so much nicer than all previous Windows versions.
Microsoft has finally caught up with Mac OS X.
They have implemented in Vista some very nice things that
my Mac has had for 7-years now.
It takes a little getting used to the new layout,
but then it runs quite nice.
So, don't believe everything you read ...
it is usually people not knowing what they're doing that write bad reviews.

I have a macbook which also runs XP via parallels

it is beautiful computer and best of both worlds

however now I find I hardly ever need to use my XP
