Matt and Bob -- is there some relatively easy to post the names of people currently in the jail, maybe as a category (could be optional?) on the Favorites list? I assume the database must have some marker for them, so they would be easy enough to pick out.
There are several reasons to know who's in jail, some noble, some less so. Among the less so is the simple gawk and gloat factor. A possibly more noble is the saluatory effect of people knowing you're in jail -- like having the stocks in the old villages on the green instead of out in the woods, so the people could take moral lessons from walking by and seeing those being punished. The noble reason is so that we can try to avoid posting inappropriately to people who can't reply on the threads we're posting on. It has always seemed to me a bit unjust that people could keep being attacked on threads while they were in jail, but there was no easy way to know who was jailed. (Matt said two people were jailed last night, but the only one posting is Joe, so I, at least, have no idea who the other one is.)
And maybe you should also pin a Scarlet J on their profile page for each time they've been in jail. Unless you think some people would flaunt that as a badge of honor??
