I've talked about the two jets I saw fly over my house/neighborhood about 6 or 7 New Year's Eves ago. Tan colored. Pointed at the front, pointed in the rear, no rear horizontal stabilizer wings, no engines on the front wings, LOW enough that I could easily see these details, .....wait for it.....
totally f*cking silent.
I live near several small airports and LAX is not far north, there is always noise/sound accompanying jets and even small planes.
I was lucky enough to see them on their way in from the beach/West and watch them fly over, then separate to rendezvous somewhere else.
Just food for thought.
I worked up at Palmdale and some at Edwards when I was on the B2 project, mid eighties to mid nineties, and I never saw anything like those.
