Yes, far more dangerous than Al Qaeda. Most sane people would much rather fight the terrorists, and those that support them, hand to hand on their own soil - rather than make use of the strongest and greatest military the World has ever seen.

Lana, you are a truly horrible human being. (sarcasm)

So, curiosity got the better of me. I went to see Gibson's movie while on vacation. I'll say, the first 45 minutes were excellent. The following hour and a half was dominated by intense violence. I have no opinion on the historical accuracy of the suffering portrayed. I don't know enough, but Gibson more than made the suffering and brutality point 1/3rd of the way through the violence.

There's been much ado about whether or not the movie is anti-semitic. While the Jews were portrayed as heartless manipulators, the movie was less kind to the Romans, who were portrayed as mindlessly sadistic. Interesting, the only group shown to possess any attributes of humanity were women.

There is an incideous point to be made regarding the charges of anti-semitism. At one point during the film, as Judas was contemplating hanging himself, a group of obviously Jewish children morphed into little demons, complete with devil faces and horns. Supposedly, this kind of stuff was injected for 'artistic' purposes, but it was a questionable scene. It's even stranger when one considers that Gibson, under protest, removed the line, "blood be upon your hands, and the hands of your children." These kids looked like they were from Boro Park.
