No, I so not think you understand what I am saying. -- it is admittedly rather nuanced. I am saying that if we support Israel and help her when she is in need, then God will bless us for that support. Again, that does not mean blind support for anything Israel wants to do.
For myself, and for most Christians who take their Bibles seriously, I think that is the position that the country should follow if for no other reason than to obtain blessings from God. Obviously we are no longer a "Christian" nation, so we will not make that a part of our national policy based on Biblical teaching, so I would make the case that we should support Israel because it is in our national interest to do so, it being our only reliable friend in the area and it being the only true democracy in the area.
