With biotechs once the products they already have are out, if there is any cash left and no valuable IP, the company will either be aquired or the BOD will waste away the money, you make your bets and move on. ON the other hand there have been bonafide businesses that traded below cash and those appealled to me. An example: CPST, Capstone Turbines which ended up benefitting from last years blackout and may very well be profitable in the end.

There are far fewer companies trading below cash now, than there were in late 2002 / early 2003 before the present bull market. That REALLY was the time to buy stocks.
