>Total hospitals in the US is what? 5,000-10,000? IMS is polling about 3.5-7.0% of the US hospitals.<

Please bear in mind that most US hospitals are tiny outfits in small cities and rural areas. I would guess that the 350 hospitals IMS is polling account for 30-40% of the total volume.

Clark, thanks for your persistence in digging into the possible meaning of the Oppenheimer Recothrom numbers. Arguably, the worst effect of this number for Zymo will be on marketing of Recothrom, which figures, since Oppenheimer is shilling for Omrix as well as likely fronting for Zymo shorts.
If docs and P&Ts think nobody else is using the stuff they will be less inclined to adopt. That's probably the mind game Oppenheimer is playing.

I guess Zymo is sticking to its guns about not giving out rev numbers ahead of the next qrly financial report. If they see a negative impact on hospital consideration of the drug, presumably they will be flexible enough to alter that stance somewhat. There are various tidbits they could give out on accounts converted etc., without caving in on providing minute by minute sales figs, should they so choose. They may be doing this through their reps already. Coverage of major accounts is pretty strong, so PRs less important than in other drug segments.
