the accumulation window for hurricane stocks is hard to pin down right now. the last two seasons were expected to be intense and turned out to be mild. i think 2008 will have accumulation compressed into a much smaller window, and based on actual weather developments, not expectations.
DPDW should do especially well because they are not a "pure play" on the weather. obviously mako provides a very real link to revenues from hurricanes, but if we get another calm season many hurricane traders will just stick around and make money as the company continues to execute on all fronts. jmho....
