The grey market are usually canadian stocks. The canadains will have a a canadain symbol, for example JNN.V for the venture exchange and another symbol JNRRF used as the grey market symbol. You have to call your broker and have them buy the shares on the canadian exchange.

i called etrade as u cant do this gray on line, with hsxi at least. and asked what was the last sale and top price, they said 01 and .12. so that was the bid and ask, even though there is none. it evidently later changed to 02 bid to 09 ask, but, i put in my order and will let it sit. hasnt filled yet. thats the way it works. what constitutes a spread is huge. and hsxi is a us stock on the pinks. they can be canadian co's but, are registered in the usa or we would not have them in the pinks and now grays.
