HiEnergy Conducts Tests with US Army's Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate

IRVINE, Calif., Mar 29, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- HiEnergy Technologies, Inc. (HIET) announced today that the Company conducted a series of in-field tests of its Anti-Tank Landmine Detector for the United States Army's Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate in Fort Belvoir, Virginia during the week of March 15, 2004.

The Anti-Tank Landmine Detector is the first of its kind to contain a Stoichiometer(TM), which utilizes groundbreaking technology to decipher chemical formulas of explosives within buried landmines. This high-tech device contains a portable generator of neutrons and remotely determines the chemical formula of concealed or buried objects through steel or soil including explosives, biological weapons, and illegal drugs online.

"We are pleased to be presented with the opportunity to demonstrate the unique capabilities of HiEnergy's Anti-Tank Landmine Detector," notes Dr. Bogdan C. Maglich, HiEnergy Technologies, Inc.'s CEO and Chief Scientific Officer. "The innovative system that composes the Anti-Tank Landmine Detector can dramatically improve the ways in which dangerous landmines are located. There will no longer be "false alarms," where a given area is mistaken to have the presence of a real mine due to clutter, such as shrapnel, nails, wire, bullets and other metallic objects that are commonly found. Due to this detector's proficiency, it can eliminate the need for human intervention, which will ultimately save the lives of many de-miners."

The "False Alarm Eliminator," HiEnergy's landmine detection system, is currently being developed under an SBIR Contract awarded by the Department of Defense. According to the U.S. Army SBIR Phase II Contract No. DAAB07-03-C-P002, the results of the tests, as all work under the contract, must remain confidential.

Zeev - from an admiring lurker -- USMG may be one to check --
has had a great run and broke out today on huge volume:

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 25, 2004--U.S. Home & Garden Inc. (OTCBB: USHG.OB - News) today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement pursuant to which U.S. Home & Garden Inc. ("USHG") will merge with Ionatron Inc.

Ionatron Inc. is a privately held development stage company that has developed and tested a proprietary new Directed Energy Weapon technology, which in the non-lethal mode can direct electrical discharges, through the atmosphere, to disable vehicles, such as cars, trucks or boats, without harming the vehicle occupants. The discharges will also shutdown electronic and communications equipment. When fully developed, this technology also has the capability of stunning personnel, in a manner similar to a common TASER (R) --- but is wireless and capable of much longer ranges. Ionatron is starting to produce a limited number of prototypes for customer evaluation and testing for their specific environments and missions. Ionatron believes its technology is superior to many of the existing Directed Energy technologies in development, due to its low average power requirements and potential compact size. Ionatron's technology is multifunctional in capability for various military, homeland defense and law enforcement applications. Ionatron has recently secured a limited number of US Government contracts, as well as had the technology funded as a line item in the 2004 DOD Defense Budget. Ionatron expects to use the cash from the merger to accelerate technology development and prototyping activities.
