You're late to the party. We already discussed the 8xx price cuts, which brought them from 3-4 times the 2xx prices to a more reasonable factor of about 2.
Meanwhile, Intel seems to be reducing the price of a much older sku, rather than any of their high end offerings.
That's because Intel doesn't *have* any new high-end offerings.
