I hope this doesn't sound presumptuous but I think he did know.
By that I mean he was aware of how interested even novices were in his ability to predict market moves through Hurst cycle analysis, it is why we are all here on these threads. Everyone in their own way his sharing and most of the time doing their best to make sense of market direction and to profit from it.
The greatness of your brother lies in how humble he was in his sharing and attempting to interest and educated many the Hurst Cycle work. The fact that his associates, friends and family knew little of this side of him, also speaks volumes about the person he was.
Your brother will be missed. Many folks were lurkers and not active participants on this thread but I will guarantee you, if he posted on a given day, many saw his posts religiously whether they interacted with him directly or not.
This investment community has lost two tremendous contributors in a very short period of time, the sadness is almost unbearable when you let it in.
My thoughts go out to you and your family in this very difficult time.
