You have to consider that Dave Brooks is the Science Editor for the newspaper in Ze'ev's hometown. The fact that, until the question came up in an editor's meeting, of "Who is this guy and why are we getting all these emails?" nobody locally had even heard of him. Par for the course for our Ze'ev. That meant that, typical of journalists everywhere, he only had time to scratch the surface.

Dave sent me an email asking for info. I sent him some of Ze'ev's more recent links so he could flesh out the story.

But you are correct. You had to correspond with Ze'ev for years, like we all have, to truly know him.
