Bangladesh Is A Net Importer Of Woven Fabrics

Most woven fabrics that are converted into garment for export are imported into Bangladesh from China, India, Pakistan, Taiwan and Thailand. (Now remember these are finished fabrics for apparel/garment production ready for cut and sew operation).

Bangladesh does export some woven fabrics known as shop towels mostly used by the car repair shops and in factories as buffing cloth. Another woven fabrics is wipes that are used mostly by restaurants including fast food restaurants.

This is because, Pakistan, India and China quota's are full and importers pays a penny or two more per pound and bring them into U.S.A. as rags from Bangladesh. (about 76 cents per pound) now look at the cost of raw cotton and calculate the profit. These are not finished fabrics. They are known as grey goods.

Now go back and do some more research. Mr. Firoze of (Ameritex in CA.) is one of the largest importer of Bangladeshi shop towel and wiping fabrics. I think they also have or own most of the quota for this item. Matin knows him very well and the problem is Mr. Firoze is well aware of fraudulent activities of Matin and will not do business with Matin even if Matin gives in 100% money in advance.

Have a good day. Firoze is too smart!! and I don't blame him.

thart2us

There is differences between woven fabric exporting and woven apparel/garment exporting.

Keep trying and you will learn too.
