Gosh, I just finished reading your posts and I've never "seen" you so "kali," Swahili meaning in one sense, sharp as in a little biting like a jalapeno. Usually, you are Mr. Ultimate Patience. Good to know you are human, subject to all the frailties of that condition, and don't reside, with your harp, on a cloud. :o)
Beliefs and repetitious questions:
People believe what they do for any number of different reasons, not the least of which could be a mental block which disallows any other considerations. In such instances, their truths and certainties are just as real and valid to them as yours are to you, and they are not subject to review. Repetitious questions sometimes have the intent of eliciting or soliciting modified responses which are more in line with the beliefs of the asker than prior responses were.
One of the most interesting examples of that I can give is a go-round I once had with a very bright young Tanzanian, Jerusa, who insisted that no one had blue eyes. Cutting to the chase here, I walked with her over to the dwelling of a German missionary who had a pair of the bluest eyes imaginable. When challenged to state what color the missionary's eyes were, that kid pulled herself as erect as possible and stated, "They are brown." Repeatedly, I challenged her to tell the truth. Repeatedly, she did, as she saw it, and her answers were all the same. (In her culture blue eyes are of the devil.)
