How nice, Obama and family are going to the Caribbean for a beach vacation. Wonder why he couldn't manage to visit a Hawaiian beach instead. His only living ancestor, his maternal grandmother who raised him, is ailing at age 95.

The Caribbean is closer, obviously. He intends to be back campaigning by Tuesday. And his grandmother's 86. It's McCain's mother who's 95.

Why, instead of dwelling on Obama, don't you choose to extol the virtues of the right-winged relic who wants our great, great grandkids to finish up our business in Iraq for us? Funny how my whole family - even the most liberal of us - thought John Mc was probably the best candidate back in 2000 when he seemed to be more interested in straight talk than the poppycock he spouts now. There once was a murder trial with which I am somewhat familiar that was based on a quote from a book, "Don't you think it is a friggen bore to get to know someone? Don't you think they are much more interesting before you get to know them?" In Johnny Mc's case, I would say, "Decidedly so!"
