There are a number of cases being cited of police abusing the use of tasers. I wouldn't be suprised to see an increase in lawsuits, as well as departmental restrictions being placed on their use. Last night, I recall hearing a news story on the radio concerning a kidnapping where a taser was used to subdue the victim. There was also a story regardng the increase in deaths caused by the devices. Go to Yahoo News and do a news search for "taser".
